So I did a really stupid thing last night.

I’m on a pump, as most of you know.  When my pump gets down to about thirty units of insulin, it will start warning me that I need to change out my infusion set and the reservoir.  Last night, I ignored the warning.

Did you know that even when the pump thinks it is out of insulin, it will still continue to deliver insulin for several more hours?

I discovered this by accident a few weeks ago.  So, when I went to bed last night, I thought I was okay.

I was wrong.

Woke up to a 436 this morning.

That’s the highest I have been in a very long time.

Never ignore the warnings on your pump!
